Historic Sites & Gardens of Malta & Eastern Sicily – First Tour

    Two Enchanting Mediterranean Islands

This trip has SOLD OUT! Please follow this link to access the information for the second tour to Malta and Eastern Sicily, led by Susie Orso, Hosted by Holly and Osamu Shimizu, April 10-21, 2019.

This extraordinary itinerary will allow you to experience the best that Malta and Eastern Sicily have to offer in the way of historic landmarks, cultural sites, and gardens. And by special arrangement, we will be visiting private gardens and other sites that are not available to the general public.

Hosting this extraordinary program is Sherran Blair, a former member of the AHS Board of Directors. Her long list of achievements includes being president of the Organic Gardening Society of Columbus, Ohio, and a judge and co-chair of the Garden Club of America. Also joining the trip will be Susan Klejst, AHS Director of Development and Engagement, who manages the AHS Travel Study Program and co-hosted an AHS trip to Venice in 2016.

Our tour leader is Specialtours’ Susie Orso, who has arranged and led dozens of AHS Travel Study programs. Her years of experience and her insights - along with her invaluable personal contacts - will enrich this beautifully designed itinerary. This trip will be Susie’s last with us before her well-deserved retirement.

We will also be accompanied by Nigel McGilchrist, whose insightful talks were so appreciated on the AHS tour to Greece in spring 2018, during our stay in Malta and for our introduction to Siracusa.
