    Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield

    An Evening on the Farm

    Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield

The first day of NCYGS sessions will conclude with a special evening event at Denver Botanic Gardens’ Chatfield location in Littleton, CO.  DBG at Chatfield is a working farm on a beautiful property amidst nature trails, a restored 1918 dairy barn, and wildflower gardens.  Attendees will have ample time to explore the picturesque grounds and will be greeted by the harmonious live sounds of Broke Bridge- a local bluegrass band, while enjoying a barbecue dinner by the barn.  It will be a lovely evening for exploring, relaxing, and connecting with colleagues from all over the country.

    Broke Bridge

Broke Bridge is a string band that applies Americana instrumentation to irresistible original songs.  It’s been called grass ‘n’ roll.  A little bluegrass, a little rock ‘n’ roll.  Selected covers make the band’s sets readily accessible while its own songs create a rich and memorable musical experience.

The band formed in late 2010 in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, and specializes in up-tempo jams and three-part harmonies.  Guests of the special event at DBG’s Chatfield location will get to experience the art and energy of Quentin Young the songwriter on guitar and vocals, Ryan Herbst on Banjo and vocals, and Stacy Liles playing the Bass.

For more information and a little audio preview of this folk, string band, check out their website: http://www.brokebridge.com

(Please note: This event is included in the cost of a full registration)

    Thank you!

AHS would like to thank Mundus Bishop and Denver Botanic Gardens for sponsoring and organizing this event for NCYGS 2013 attendees!
