    Travel Information for NCYGS 2018

    Getting to Ithaca, New York

Tompkins Regional (ITH) airport is located just minutes from downtown Ithaca and Cornell University.  However, flight options are very limited.

Hancock International (SYR) airport is about 60 miles away in Syracuse.  SYR offers more choice in airlines and flight schedules.

Ground transportation from SYR to downtown Ithaca (with on-campus drop-off and pick-up) can be arranged through Ithaca Airport Limousine.  Reservations must be made in advance.

    Lodging Information

Registration is now open for Symposium accommodations.  Cornell University has made available on-campus housing for your stay in Ithaca.  NCYGS attendees will be housed together in the Carl Becker House.  Single and double rooms are available.  Those wishing to share a room must each register.  Supply the name of your roommate in the 'special accommodations' field.

Housing reservations must be made through Cornell University's online registration portal.  (Symposium registration is separate.)

    Campus Parking

On-campus parking is available on West Campus for those staying in the Carl Becker House and also near the Plant Science building where most of the Symposium activities will take place.  Parking may be arranged and paid for in advance through the registration portal for those staying on campus or upon arrival via the Parkmobile app.  Daily permits, offered on a first-come, first-served basis, may be available at a parking information booth.  Additionally, some lots have metered (cash or credit card) parking.  More information about parking and wayfinding can be found here.
