~Cultivating tomorrow's gardeners by energizing, inspiring, and training today's garden educators~

Building Blocks for a Sustainable Future

Climate change, pollinator-species decline, and environmental degradation have become all too familiar concepts in our lives and communities. At a time when our earth’s problems may seem too big to address, how do we provide the next generation with the tools for a sustainable future? The 2019 National Children & Youth Garden Symposium will explore this topic by introducing attendees to innovative sustainable gardening curriculum and practices, exploring “green” career resources, and highlighting model partnerships for attracting the human, financial, and intellectual capital needed to sustain youth gardening endeavors. Attendees will come away enlivened and energized with a vital set of tools and resources to enable their students to make a difference that counts.

Stay tuned as we continue to plan our 27th annual National Children & Youth Garden Symposium. Check back throughout the fall and winter as we fill in our symposium schedule with peer-led educational sessions, field experiences, and speakers. Registration for the symposium will be available online in spring of 2019.
