DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 7th\, we’re celebrating the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum’s 50th Anniversary with a day full of festivities. Tour the museum\, see 3D bonsai tree visualizations\, take part in family activities\, and grab a bite from local food trucks during this free celebration. Activities are ongoing between 10 AM to 4 PM — no registration required. \nFrom 6 PM to 8 PM that evening\, the museum will host a science café to explore the science of bonsai\, featuring engaging presentations by expert scientists. Expand your scientific knowledge\, get an exclusive view of bonsai after dark\, and enjoy themed cocktails and light bites. Tickets cost $40\, and must be purchased in advance.

DESCRIPTION:When the days grow shorter and the year begins to wind down\, there’s no better time to pause for some self care and rejuvenation. \nThe Studio at Marin Art and Garden Center becomes a sanctuary this November\, as Jodi McLean and guest sound practitioners create space to exhale before the season shifts into full swing. As the autumn gardens hold the space around you\, the resonant frequencies of crystal bowls\, gongs\, chimes\, and vocals will carry you into deep relaxation\, untangling tension\, quieting the mind\, and returning your nervous system to a place of ease. Arrive early to wander the gardens and invite someone to share a moment of stillness. \nPlease bring a yoga mat and wear warm\, comfortable clothing with extra layers. Traditionally done lying down on your back\, this experience might be more comfortable for you if you bring extra supplies for yourself (pillows\, and maybe an eye pillow to take your audio experience to the next level).
