We welcome submissions to the AHS Horticultural Happenings Event Calendar for plant-centered events produced or hosted by groups and organizations involved in the horticultural fields, such as:
- public gardens and arboreta (including but not limited to, gardens in the AHS Garden Network)
- plant societies
- garden clubs
- master-gardener groups
- colleges and universities
- local nurseries, small gardens centers, etc.
- and other groups and organizations that are aligned with AHS’ mission to inspire a culture of gardening and horticultural practices that creates and sustains healthy, beautiful communities and a livable planet.
Exceptions
Regularly scheduled (e.g. hourly, daily, weekly) tours, fundraising events, private events (including member-only events), seasonal / series events with timed-tickets (e.g. light-shows) and programs not centered on plants will not be listed.
How to Submit Your Event
- Login to our event submission page to create your event. Need the login details? Contact us at events@ahsgardening.org.
- Fill out all the required fields on the submission form, including the event title, date(s), description, and registration or website link.
- Image: Please ensure your image is in a 4:3 format or 640 x 480 pixel size.

Terms and Conditions
The American Horticultural Society’s Horticultural Happenings event calendar is a free resource where organizations may list horticultural events (with or without an admission charge or discount) that are available to the general public.
All event listings are submitted by the presenter/venue. The final decision to include an event on the calendar is at the discretion of the American Horticultural Society (AHS).
The accuracy of information listed is the responsibility of the submitter/venue.
AHS is not responsible for any errors or omissions.
AHS reserves the right to review, edit, approve or reject event listing submissions.
Please allow three business days for submission review and approval.
Listing on the AHS Horticultural Happenings calendar does not imply endorsement or favor.
Submissions may be rejected if:
- The event information is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
- The event does not align with AHS’ mission or values
- The event is commercial or sales-focused in nature
- The event content is inappropriate, discriminatory, or offensive
- The event date has passed or the event has been canceled
