Over the past twenty years, plantsman Steve Mydelski has created a two-acre garden at Natchez Glen House in Franklin, Tennessee, intended to demonstrate the planting possibilities of the Mid-South climate. This tour features a nationally scaled planting of perennials, hundreds of herbaceous peonies, and a rare tree collection focused on acers and conifers. Natchez Glen House is in the process of expanding from a flower farm to an educational resource for horticulture and ecology, with a vision toward serving as a living classroom for regenerative land stewardship, soil building, stormwater management, pollinator support, and native plant integration.

Steve Mydelski is a plantsman and garden designer with a background in the nursery trade. He has taught workshops at respected institutions like Weston Nurseries in Massachusetts and Chalet Nursery in Illinois, worked with more than 300 independent garden centers, and learned from the mentorship of Adrian Bloom and Lady Arabella Lennox Boyd.
