Virtual Class Held by New Directions in The American Landscape: The Bower – Native Plant Landscape and Sculpture Park

Join New Directions in The American Landscape for a case study and a panel discussion. This case study describes the conception, planning, design, procurement, installation and management of a native plant landscape and sculpture park through the eyes of the founders. A whirlwind three years began the transformation of the 36-acre residential property with large native plant gardens, an enhanced natural meadow and savanna matrix, a series of six small constructed wetland pools, and forest habitat all organically maintained with limited staff. The Bower opened in 2021 and continues to grow, evolve, and demonstrate the rewards of combining ecology and art.
