Around the World in Eight Plants
August 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Take a stroll around the Cornell Botanic Gardens and take a trip around the world! On this walking tour we’ll encounter eight plants from five continents. Each plant – tree, shrub, or perennial – has significant cultural importance to the societies that grow and utilize them. Some are highly cultivated, and others are harvested from the forest with thoughtful ceremony. From simple sustenance to a striving for beauty, to connecting to one’s place in the divine, come learn how these plants have played a role in human civilization. Pre-registration required as space is limited. Walk will be held rain or shine.
