Join us on Thursday, October 29 from 12-1 pm at La Kretz Garden Pavilion for another installment of Botany Brown Bag. Dr. Rachel Shahan will give a talk titled “Getting to the Root of Plant Development.”

Plants have an amazing ability to produce new organs throughout their lifetimes, including flowers above the ground and roots below. Dr. Rachel Shahan will discuss how she studies post-embryonic development by applying single-cell genomics and time-lapse microscopy approaches to a simple plant model, the root of Arabidopsis thaliana.
