Growing Good Kids Book Awards

GROWING YOUNG MINDS WITH THE BEST CHILDREN’S GARDENING BOOKS

Every year, the “Growing Good Kids – Excellence in Children’s Literature Awards” program, established by the AHS and the Junior Master Gardener program, honors outstanding children’s books focused on plant, garden, and ecology-themed children’s literature.

Nominate a Children’s Book

A diverse selection committee, including educators and youth leaders, evaluates submissions based on a story’s ability to engage children and convey positive messages about gardening and the environment, as well as the illustrations’ appeal and effectiveness in representing the story. Winners are announced at the AHS National Children & Youth Garden Symposium each year (attendance at the Symposium is not required).
