President’s Council 

 

AHS members who make leadership gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized through membership in the AHS President’s Council.

President’s Council members’ charitable gifts provide funds that support everything from internships and the National Children & Youth Garden Symposium, to national awards and the stewardship of River Farm.

Annual Trip for President’s Council members

Our 2022 President’s Council annual trip will take place in the Washington DC area from April 25-29. Highlights include visits to the AHS headquarters at River Farm, Glenstone, Mount Vernon, Hillwood Estate and Gardens, Dumbarton Oaks, and more! Participants will stay at the Hotel Indigo in quaint Old Town Alexandria. On the Potomac River within eyesight of Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, is nationally recognized for its rich history and beautifully preserved 18th- and 19th-century architecture. 

President’s Council Membership Benefits 

President’s Council members receive full AHS membership benefits for one year.

Council Member’s Circle ($1,000 – $2,499 per year)

Sustainer’s Circle ($2,500 – $4,999 per year)

  • Two complimentary gift memberships per year

Haupt Circle ($5,000-$9,999 per year)

  • Priority advance reservation opportunities for AHS Travel Study Program tours
  • A specially arranged guided tour of the Society’s River Farm headquarters with the AHS President and River Farm Horticulturist
  • Two complimentary gift memberships per year

Liberty Hyde Bailey Circle ($10,000-$24,999 per year)

  • An autographed gardening book (a different title each year)

  • Two complimentary gift memberships per year

Founder’s Circle ($25,000 or more per year)
