(American Daffodil Society) 2026 National Fall Daffodil and Photography Show

The judged daffodil show promises a visual feast of otherworldly, autumn-flowering daffodils previously unseen outside of collectors’ circles—or, in some cases, the wilds of the southern Mediterranean and North African landscapes whence they originate. Many great new hybrids being created to extend the daffodil season from early autumn into late winter, eventually connecting to the familiar spring harbingers we so eagerly welcome to usher in a new gardening season, shall debut in this show. Witness green daffodils, sniff flowers with utterly exquisite perfume, marvel at stems bearing singular to numerous florets, and behold flowers so novel as to completely reset your understanding of what a daffodil is. You won’t be disappointed! The photography show is always fun, as flower photography always is. Past submissions have ranged from candid shots with family pets, to high tech computer manipulation, to modern interpretations of 1600s Dutch still lifes. The public is welcome to enter submissions, but it is strongly suggested to review the entry schedule well in advance for deadlines and criteria.
