Garden Learning Series: A Guide to Gardening with Children

Join our Horticulture Technician, Kelsey Apple, for a hands-on workshop designed to help parents, caregivers, and teachers confidently garden with children. Participants will learn the basics of setting up healthy soil and garden beds for seasonal vegetables, along with ideas for fun and engaging plant displays that spark children’s curiosity.
As part of the program, each participant will create and take home an 8″ container garden filled with child-friendly plants chosen to inspire interest and excitement in young gardeners. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the knowledge, tools, and hands-on experience needed to create a successful and enjoyable gardening experience for your family or classroom.
Cost is $30 for non-members, members receive a discount. Pre-registration is required.
