This course is designed for the Front Range gardener beginner. The basics of what is needed to adjust gardening skills from other climates to the Front Range’s finicky climate are covered. Learn to make dazzling citrus marmalades from the best the winter season has to offer. We will use fresh, organic citrus and make a bitter, sweet, and succulent marmalade. Ikebana is an expression of our respect and appreciation towards nature. We observe life through the arrangement of plants. During each class, participants receive hands-on instruction to put together an arrangement to take home.
This class is an introduction to the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. This will be a hands-on workshop open to all skill levels. The instructor will demonstrate the art form and then the students will proceed to make an arrangement. After creating an arrangement the instructor will do a critique.

Join Santa Fe Botanical Garden Head Gardener, Linda Churchill, as we prune the young fruit trees in the Orchard Garden. This is the class for you if you have recently planted a fruit tree or are thinking about beginning to grow fruit at home. Linda will recommend tools, discuss different styles of pruning, and you will get a chance to make some cuts on the trees in the Santa Fe Botanical Garden orchard. Bring your questions and warm clothes; we will be outside.
