This highly informative session will be taught by certified arborist Rico Montenegro. Bring a notepad because this event will be packed with practical advice for the DIY backyard landscaper. Learn about fruit tree selection, IPM or natural techniques of pest control, soils and fertilization. He will share information on how to train young and newly planted trees and pruning methods that include ways to maintain fruit trees in a compact or reduced size. Also, learn an introduction on how to restore old, neglected and abused fruit trees and information applicable to all types of trees.

Na ‘Āina Kai’s playday is a monthly event where you can enjoy quality time with your kids in the Under the Rainbow Children’s Garden.
