Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden – International Plumeria Conference (Los Angeles, CA)
The Plumeria Society of America proudly announces the third International Plumeria Conference, the premier event for plumeria enthusiasts, growers, and professionals. Activities include lectures, workshops, panel discussions, demonstrations, and a specially-curated tour of the plumeria collection at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. Its popular Plumeria Grove, the most extensive public collection in the American West, contains 112 plumeria plants comprising multiple species and new and old cultivars. The three-day conference, co-sponsored by the Plumeria Society of America and the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, will feature keynote speakers from the world of plumeria horticulture and botany, such as John Ingwersen and Doug Brunner, who own two of the largest plumeria nurseries in the U.S. Their behind-the-scenes insights and advice are invaluable. Twenty-five top plumeria experts will share their experience and wisdom with workshop topics like rooting, grafting, plumeria identification, pruning, fertilizer, pest control, and more. In addition, vendors will showcase the latest products and services related to plumeria care and maintenance. Attendees will also receive a pass each day to visit the Arboretum.
