Wilbur May Arboretum & botanical Gardens – Dragon Lights: Nature’s Glow (Reno, NV)

From June 30th to August 13th, the arboretum will be illuminated once again with more than 40 groups of larger-than-life lantern sculptures. Visitors are invited to walk-through the arboretum in Reno’s midsummer nights to see and interact with our luminous displays.

44th Annual John Druecker Memorial Rhododendron Show at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens (Fort Bragg, CA)

The Rhododendron Show is free to attend and open to the public from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to hundreds of individual flower entries, there will be plants, bonsai, photos, floral arrangements, hourly plant raffles, and educational displays. A large selection of rhododendrons and other plants will be available for purchase in the big tent and at the Gardens’ Nursery. Local growers and Noyo Chapter ARS members will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the best plants for your garden.

Children’s Day at the Japanese Friendship Garden (San Diego, CA)

All of the activities, vendors and performances will take place inside the garden’s gates. We invite guests to make special koinobori, play games, and eat kashiwamochi.
