Symposium Accommodations
Hotel Headquarters – The NCYGS hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hartford Downtown (315 Trumbull St, Hartford, CT 06103). The hotel is convenient to local shops, eateries, entertainment, and the historic downtown. The Connecticut Science Center is half a mile from the hotel, as is Bushnell Park (the country’s oldest publicly funded park) with the State Capitol building.
We have secured a block of discounted rooms between July 7 to July 11 at the rate of $194 per night. Individuals must choose their arrival and departure dates to accurately reflect their stay. Click here for the link to book the group discount. Reservations can also be made by calling Hilton’s toll-free reservation line (800) 754-7941 and requesting the “American Horticultural Group Block.” We recommend that you book your room as soon as possible, as there is limited availability.
Session Headquarters – Sessions will be held at the Connecticut Science Center (250 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, CT 06103).
Ground Transportation
For the two days of sessions at the Connecticut Science Center (Wednesday, July 9 and Friday, July 11), a shuttle will circulate between the hotel and the session headquarters at the beginning and end of the session schedule. Additionally, Hartford has a free Dash shuttle that circulates every 15 minutes and stops at both the hotel and the session headquarters. Walking is also an option, as the sites are half-a-mile apart.
