Perla Sofía Curbelo-Santiago is a gardener and professional communicator from Puerto Rico. She is the founder of Agrochic.com, a gardening lifestyle platform in Spanish that promotes gardening for wellness, and the author of ¡Verdura! Living a Garden Life (January 2024), also in Spanish, from Cool Springs Press.  Curbelo-Santiago founded her garden content communication company Zurda Media Enterprises in 2007 and she is host and producer of the podcast La verdura de hoy. She is a recipient of the 2021 AHS B.Y. Morrison Communication Award and is certified in Horticulture Therapy from Chicago Botanic Garden.
