New AHS Member Benefit: 30% Discount off Gardening Books

Thanks to Princeton University Press, we’re able to offer members of the American Horticultural Society (AHS) a new benefit that’s ideal for garden planning and planting season.

Effective immediately, AHS members receive a 30% discount off all gardening books from the publisher. This includes The Gardener’s Botanical: An Encyclopedia of Latin Plant Names, written by horticulturist Ross Bayton and published in February 2020. Other discounted books include ones focused on pollinator gardening and wildflowers, among other topics.

To take advantage of this new member benefit, AHS members can log in to the member portal and access the discount code. Non-members can join the AHS to start enjoying member benefits!

New AHS Member Benefit: Discounts at 2020 Home + Garden Shows

Thanks to our new partnership with Marketplace Events, the American Horticultural Society (AHS) is now offering a new AHS member benefit: special discounts on tickets at upcoming Marketplace Events-produced Home + Garden Shows held in cities across the nation.

Many shows will offer 2-for-1 tickets or buy one, get one free tickets. The Northwest Flower & Garden Festival in Seattle, WA (Feb. 26 – March 1) is offering $6 off a two-day pass. 

AHS members can learn more about participating shows and how to obtain their discounts by logging in to the members-only section of the website. Non-members can join now.

AHS Adds 10 New Reciprocal Admissions Program Gardens for 2020

AHS members now have access to special admissions privileges and discounts at more than 330 gardens nationwide through our Reciprocal Admissions Program (RAP).

The 10 newest gardens to join RAP in 2020 include Durango Botanic Gardens in Durango, Colorado; Connecticut College Arboretum in New London, Connecticut; Hills and Dales Estate in LaGrange, Georgia; Hauberg Estate in Rock Island, Illinois; Oak Park Conservatory in Oak Park, Illinois; Native Plant Trust in Framingham, Massachusetts; Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha, Nebraska; Bedrock Gardens in Lee, New Hampshire; Constable Hall Gardens in Constableville, New York; and Haverford College Arboretum in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
