Our lecture will cover identification of the Ruby-throated hummingbird, ideal habitat, migration, nesting, feeding, importance of water features, and how the elements of the best hummingbird feeders and plants can bring you up close to these special birds.

Calling all families, nature enthusiasts, and amateur astronomers! Come gather on the Garden’s lawns to marvel at the sky as the moon passes between the Earth and sun.
Join us in observing the effects of the eclipse on our collections. Will blooms be fooled into closing? Will leaves turn in? Participate in our Garden-wide experiment and let us know what you see. The eclipse will last from 2:10 to 4:36 p.m., peaking at 3:25 p.m. Protective eyewear is necessary for looking at the sun and will be available while supplies last.
