Annual Orchid Sale & Symposium (Fort Myers, FL)

Come learn about orchids during this fun two-day event! Presentations are free (does not include tours or admission to the museum, lab, or riverside). The Lee County Master Gardeners will have an advice table and several vendors will have orchids available for sale.

Discover Bonsai (Kennesaw, GA)

The bonsais exhibit at Smith-Gilbert Gardens is a highlight of our collection. Learn about the art form every second Saturday of the month from curator, Rodney Clemons during our bonsai study session.

Exhibit is open April through October and closed for winterization from November through March. Dates for winterization are subject to change.

Fall Plant Sale (Spartanburg, SC)

Join us for our Fall Plant Sale and grow a bit of Hatcher in your home garden!
The Fall Plant Sale will kick off Thursday, October 3 from 9:00AM-12:00 Noon. After opening weekend, stop by the nursery Tuesday through Friday, each day at 9:00AM – 12:00 Noon.

Ecological Gardening Workshop (Crestwood, KY)

Mary Wheatley, Jefferson County Master Gardener, leads this workshop on the importance of ecological gardening to support the native environment. She’ll discuss host plants, seed saving techniques, and the need to include some “messiness” in our gardens over winter to support birds and the eggs of good bugs that are surviving on our leaf litter.

Come and enjoy this horticultural Trick or Treat where we will discuss the creepy and fantastic members of the plant kingdom and their Halloween histories.
