View event website »This interactive workshop will review best practices for harvesting and storing seeds to maintain viability and guide participants, step by step, in preparing a limited selection of flower, herb and vegetable seeds from plants grown in the Conservatory’s Giving Garden for storage until the 2024 growing season. Weather permitting, the workshop may include a short visit to the Conservatory’s behind-the-scenes Giving Garden to see the mature plants and harvest a few seeds directly.

Start inside the main gate and follow the signs through the gardens to read a story. The StoryWalk® is a wonderful way for readers of all ages to combine literacy skills and healthy exercise while enjoying the surroundings. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition (VBPC) and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
