Celebrate a Century of Impact
in the Beautiful Gardens and Incomparable Landscapes of
Historic River Farm
Join us for cocktails and dinner overlooking the Potomac River, then enjoy drinks and dessert while dancing under the stars. Inspired by the quintessential American garden party tradition of strolling and celebrating among brilliant flowers and spectacular views, we are conjuring an epic evening amidst the unparalleled splendor of our historic headquarters. There, we will raise a glass “to River Farm” — confirming our commitment to remain open to the public forever.
From the terrace of the manor house, we’ll delight in the panoramic vista of trees, river and sky and perhaps catch a glimpse of the resident bald eagle soaring high above. As we make our way through the garden rooms that will be alive and bursting in full autumn splendor (with a signature herb and floral-infused cocktail in hand), eventually taking our seats in the beautifully decorated tent for dinner, we’ll be surrounded by breathtaking floral decor that further echoes our festive botanical theme. Then, as the sun sets and the moon rises over the Potomac, we’ll toast our AHS Centennial of Impact on American gardening, look ahead to the next 100 years, and celebrate our collective success in protecting River Farm for all of us, including future generations, to enjoy!
