A CENTURY OF PASSION FOR GROWING THE FUTURE

Welcome to AHS Centennial Celebration!

A Centennial Message from the Board of Directors

Welcome!  This year the American Horticultural Society is celebrating two important milestones in our rich history as an esteemed horticultural organization. The first commemorates our 100th anniversary as a society. The second marks 49 years at our headquarters on River Farm, a site of historical significance and natural beauty – a site we have vowed to preserve and protect.

The Board of Directors and I invite you to peruse this page to familiarize you with the many ways we will be commemorating our Centennial this year and beyond. We especially want to thank you for visiting this website and for supporting the work of the American Horticulture Society. Together we can embrace the critical role plants, gardens and green spaces play in creating healthy, livable communities in America and the world.
