River Farm Pop-Up Plant Market

Join us for our inaugural pop-up plant market! We will have a mix of plants propagated from our own stock at River Farm. There will be a selection Northern Virginia natives, grasses, ferns, and more. Market runs from 1-6pm each day.

Garden Photography Workshop

Learn how to create beautiful images in the garden, from inviting vistas to intimate plant portraits. Instructor Cindy Dyer, a USPS stamp artist, combines the skills of a professional photographer and graphic designer with the enthusiasm of an avid gardener. She will share her tips and tricks for photographing gardens and flowers in their best light, whether shooting with a DSLR, point-n-shoot, or smartphone. AHS members $50; non-members $60

Indigo Block Print Workshop

Join local artist Gretchen Schermerhorn for a workshop on how to create repeated design prints on fabric using an all-natural indigo dye paste! Design and make your own relief block, or stamp then learn how to use a thickened indigo paste as an ‘ink’ to create beautiful prints on fabric. AHS members $70; non-members $80

Wildflower Watercolor Workshop
