Bellevue Botanical Garden – Great Tree Lecture (Bellevue, WA)

Taught by Laura Watson in partnership with the Master Gardeners of King County. Using great photos and a friendly speaking style, Laura will describe her personal experiences living with ten great understory trees for the Pacific Northwest, all but one of which are listed on Great Plant Picks and included in The Tree Book by Michael Dirr and Keith Warren. Attendees will receive an informative list of great trees to try that includes cultural information. $10.50 BBGS & King County Master Gardener Members/$15 Non-Member.

Oregon Garden – Digging in the Dirt (Silverton, OR)

Hoyt Arboretum – Fall Mushroom Discovery (Portland, OR)

The program will start with an indoor introduction to the ecological roles of fungi, their forms, how they eat, reproduce and the basics of identification.
