TROLLS: Save the Humans (Nashville, TN)

The imaginative exhibition Trolls: Save the Humans by artist Thomas Dambo blends art,
nature, and messages of sustainability. Six giant trolls are intertwined with Cheekwood’s
unique gardens, trees, and historic landscape for a one-of-a-kind storytelling
experience. Denmark-based recycle artist Thomas Dambo brings a creative approach to
his multifaceted installations. Dambo’s vision is to create art that inspires people to have
adventures in nature and demonstrate that trash can be turned into something
beautiful. Children and adults alike will enjoy imagining each of the six featured trolls’
tales while considering their messages to humankind.

2024 Columbus African Violet Society Show and Sale

The Columbus African Violet Society will be hosting its annual show and sale of African violets and gesneriads. “African Violets are Like Diamonds in a Pot!” is the theme for this year’s show. The show will be held at Beechwold Christian Church, 280 Morse Road, Columbus, OH on Friday, May 3, noon – 5 pm and Saturday, May 4, 10 am -4 pm. The event is free. Enchanted Vista Iris Society Annual Iris Show “An Iris Holiday” (Rio Rancho, NM)

Enchanted Vista Iris Society Annual Iris Show “An Iris Holiday”, will be on Saturday, May 4, 2024, Sabana Grande Recreation Center, 4110 Sabana Grande Avenue, SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Entries include the horticulture division, artistic designs (flower arrangements, must include irises), educational displays, and iris photography division. Entries in all divisions are open to public participation with entries taken from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Containers for the horticulture division is provided by the society. 45th Annual John Druecker Memorial Rhododendron Show (Fort Bragg, CA)

Each year, the Noyo Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society (ARS) partners with Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens to showcase some of the best rhodie specimens on the west coast. The 45th annual John Druecker Memorial Rhododendron Show will be held at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5. The juried show is quite possibly the largest in California with a typical show displaying more than 800 entries and filling the big tent with cascades of color and fragrance.
